Welcome to ABLConnect
The Active and Activity-Based Learning Connection

ABLConnect is a PEBLSS initiative
ABLConnect is a teaching resource database. We compile active learning strategies from Harvard faculty and teaching fellows, so that you can use them in your classes.
Our activities:
- Get students engaged!

So, what types of teaching do we support?

Active learning is any type of learning that is interactive.
Activity-based learning involves fieldwork, public service, community-based research and internships in conjunction with in-class work.
What we do not cover (at least now):
- Lectures
- Lectures with basic class questions- Discussion sections with standard open questions
If your activity is unusual or interactive in any way at all, it probably qualifies.
Share your activities!

Want your lesson or class covered? Contact the PEBLSS Program Manager at lfinger@fas.harvard.edu.
The project received pedagogic guidance from the Bok Center.
