    Laboratory Origins

The Zooarchaeology Laboratory of the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University, was established in 1981 in order to facilitate the analysis of faunal remains from archaeological sites (also called Archaeozoology). Transcribing Maps

    Goals:

Rather than trying to capture the exact layout of maps during this transcription project, we are prioritizing capturing as many words as possible without their exact location on the map. This process will enable maps in Colonial North America to be full-text searchable like the other documents transcribed during this project. To make this transcription as effective as possible for future projects, we ask that you follow these methods for encoding the kinds of words that you are transcribing.

Dr. Owen and his wife came by for fried chicken today.

Place [[ and ]] around Dr Owen like this:

[[Dr. Owen]] and his wife came by for fried chicken today.

When you save the page, a new subject will be created for “Dr. Owen”, and the page will be added to its index. You...

The novel coronavirus has introduced an unprecedented degree of unpredictability and disruption, impacting day to day functioning in both large and small ways for all people across the world. In the Stress and Development Lab, we launched a study to better understand how this outbreak has affected families by examining various related stressors, including social isolation, financial strain, and health risk.
