Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Asante will take lead on all programming on the project. He will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of various activities. Mr. Asante recently completed a semester fellowship at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs (WCFIA), Harvard University, where he facilitated discussions pertaining to the feasibility and collaboration on the project with various partner institutions at Harvard. His work with Professor Bates, during his fellowship, will provide great impetus to the project implementation.

Mr. Asante is a key member of the CDD-Ghana research team. He has led and managed several of the Center’s most significant projects including the World Bank’s research on conditions for social accountability in Ghana; strengthening of the technical departments and committees of Parliament; the Center’s disability projects. Until recently he managed CDD-Ghana’s eight member partnership research, the African Power, Politics & Policies (APPP) program under the leadership of ODI and funded by DFID. Mr. Asante is a trained UK Barrister and holds a Masters in Africana Studies from the State University of New York at Albany.
