The Early Science Working Group brings together graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty members to discuss their works-in-progress on the history of ancient, medieval and early modern knowledge and culture. Meetings focus on the history of sciences and medicine in the pre-modern world (understood generally as the period before 1800).

The faculty sponsors are Shigehisa Kuriyama and Ahmed Ragab, and the graduate student organizers are Ardeta Gjikola and Shireen Hamza.
