There have been numerous changes to FITS since the previous 0.8.10 release. A majority of these changes have been changes to the internals of the code base. The code has be refactored so that Java-based tools can have their JAR files (and possibly configuration files) isolated within their own class loader so that classes of the same name but possibly different versions will not interfere with each other. This will most affect developers who would like to add an additional tool to the current tool set. See Adding a tool in the Developer Manual section of this site.

• Droid 6.1.5 (can now be used with Java 8)

• Tika 1.10

• Metadata Extractor 3.6GA

'm2ts' files are now included in MediaInfo tool and excluded from Exiftool tool.
Revised licensing details of MediaInfo 3rd party libraries.
log4j.properties has been moved to the top level directory.
