SUR40 tables Presented at Harvard College Library Freshman Open House

The Harvard College Library Phantom Green Gorilla investigates the Houghton online exhibition, A Monument More Durable Than Brass: The Donald & Mary Hyde Collection of Dr. Samuel Johnson, on the SUR40 table as Curator John Overholt looks on during last week's Freshman Open House held in Lamont Library.  Over 300 freshman visited Room B30 where two of the Harvard Library UX tables were in use.  One table presented the Houghton exhibition using the recently purchased  IntuiFace Presentation (Intuilab) software; while Cabot Librarian Michael Leach demonstrated Microsoft Uk Researcher Dr.  Dave Brown's beta app, NUIverse, on  the other.
The B30 Collaborative Learning Space allowed both demonstrations to effectively reach the large student crowds by utilizing additional video screens and monitors as configured by Lamont Multimedia Librarian Paul Worster. Representing the Harvard Library UX, Chris Erdmann and Susan Berstler gave background on the project and held a tee shirt raffle give away.
