Gary Sherman is a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Decision Science Laboratory. He received his B.A. in Psychology and his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Virgina. His research explores emotion and morality, with a focus on how specific emotions, such as disgust, (1) trigger adaptive changes in behavior and perception and (2) shape moral beliefs, judgments, and decisions. Gary has published in leading psychology journals including Psychological Science and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
SoYon Rim is a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Decision Science Laboratory. She received her B.A. in Psychology and her Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from New York University. Rim's research centers on understanding the representation of causality, particularly as this pertains to power and leadership, moral decision-making, and forming first impressions. She has published in top psychology journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and has contributed theoretical chapters in scientific books, including the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Social Cognition and Sage Handbook of Social Cognition.
