HEGLS is the main student-forum for policy and legal dialogue at the Harvard University Extension School. HEGLS is a vibrant student group founded upon the principles of scholarship, public service, awareness, life-long learning, and friendship. Our goal is to increase the Harvard community’s understanding of the issues that affect our nation politically, socially, and economically. By doing so, we will offer the expertise of scholars within Harvard and area universities to students as a way to enrich their experiences while at one of the nation’s finest universities. As the nation’s oldest, and arguably most esteemed university in the world, Harvard University has much to offer. In alignment with the university’s motto, VERITAS, and that of the Harvard Extension School, our student club hopes to transmit knowledge and understanding of the United States government and those of other countries.
