Evolving Practices for Data Management and Sharing
A Data-PASS Workshop

Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 12:00 to 5:15pm
Harvard University

Part of a workshop series sponsored by the Data Preservation Alliance for the Social Sciences (Data-PASS), “Developing and Implementing Data Policies: Conversations Between Journals and Data Repositories.”

The workshop is designed to promote discussion among social science journal editors (including managing and assistant editors) and personnel from data repositories about current approaches to data citation, management, and archiving. The gathering should be useful for editorial teams no matter how developed their data policies are, as it will prepare them to make informed choices about further developments.  The workshop will also be useful to personnel from disciplinary associations in the social sciences, as they often host journals and other scholarly outputs, and publish guidance that instantiates their respective discipline’s consensus on standards and practices.
