The Mixed-Income Neighborhoods Project

Chicago and Los Angeles are home to two of the largest social science initiatives in the last 20 years—the “Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods” (PHDCN) and the “Los Angeles Family and Neighborhood Study” (LAFANS).   Funded by the John D. and Catherine T.
