About the Workshop

This May Harvard Library and WGBH are hosting the first NE NDSA Regional Workshop. This is part of an initiative across the country for NDSA member organizations to host day-long regional events, or "NDSA Regional Meetings". These provide networking and collaboration opportunities for regional members and highlight the work of regional institutions. Future regional workshops are being planned for Omaha, Nebraska; New York, New York and Nashville, Tennessee.

One Library of Congress staff member will attend each regional event to provide outreach support, highlight NDIIPP digital stewardship activities, and support general NDSA recruitment efforts. The local host institutions will provide the majority of logistics and program support in consultation with NDSA staff at the Library of Congress, who will help promote the events through the established NDSA and NDIIPP communication channels. Non-NDSA member organizations are encouraged to attend these meetings, providing an excellent recruitment opportunity for prospective NDSA members.

What Is the NDSA?

The National Digital Stewardship Alliance is a collaborative effort among government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and business entities to preserve a distributed national digital collection for the benefit of generations now and in the future. The mission of the National Digital Stewardship Alliance is to establish, maintain, and advance the capacity to preserve our nation's digital resources for the benefit of present and future generations. For more information, see the NDSA website
