The News app will enable you to post and manage news that you would like to publish on your site. Examples of News items might be recent developments in projects that you're affiliated with, awards, course-related updates, a new book or article releases, press mentions, etc. The News app, like other apps, can be set as private or public giving you control over how and to whom content is displayed.
Before adding any News items, you must first make sure the app is enabled.
1. Go to the control panel at the top of the page.
2. Hover over "BUILD".
3. Click on "APPS" within the Manage menu.
4. Search for "NEWS".
5. In the drop down menu, click "PUBLIC".
6. SAVE CONFIGURATION at the bottom of the page.
Return to Home Page
The News link should now appear in the primary menu. Click on it to begin adding items. While in the News page, click on the "Add New" button, which will present you with two options.
Select the News button and enter in the new's title, date, description and hit save. You have now created a News item.

Tip: Choose a Thumbnail Image
When you add a photo to a News item, an automatically formatted thumbnail will display when the post is listed anywhere on your site. This both looks attractive, and will help visitors to locate memorable news.
All of your news items can be viewed by clicking on "News" in the primary menu of your site. You can also view and manage news items by navigating to the Control Panel and clicking on the "Content" button . On the right column under "Type" you will see a drop down menu where you can click on "News" which will display a list of your news items.
You can populate your news feed using a RSS Feed, rather than manually entering news articles. To do this, while in the News section of your site, click on the Add New button, and select the "Import News" option.
On the left side of the page, select "Add new" to add a new RSS feed. Place the url of the RSS feed you want to use into the RSS url box, and add a title of the feed to be viewed by site administrators.
On the left side of the "Import News" page, you will have a list of all the RSS Feeds added to your site. Select the RSS feed you would like to pull from, and select the "Import" button next to each story you would like to populate your field.
When an item is added using the RSS Import feature to your news feed, it will automatically redirect users to the original location of that news article. If you would like users to be able to go into that news item and view its content on your site, go into the edit mode of that particular news item. Scroll down until you reach the redirect setting, and delete the link that appears within the redirect box and save the changes.

To remove an RSS Feed from your list of Feeds, you need to go to the Admin Tool bar and select Posts under Content.
Search for the RSS Feed you would like to delete, or sort by type "Feed Importer" and select apply to have a list of all your RSS Feed's appear.
Select the delete option to the right of the desired RSS Feed.
