To add a private file go to the control panel, hover over "Content" and click on "Files" in the find menu. The Files page lists all files that have been uploaded, including images and PDFs. Towards the top-right you will see a "Files/Private Files" tab. Click on Private Files.
To upload a private file, click on and choose the file you would like to make private. On the form you have the option to give the file a title, give it a gallery title, etc. Remember to hit Save. You should now see your file listed in the Private Files Page.
*This is also the page where you can see all private files that have been uploaded.
Once you have uploaded your file to the Private Files Section of your site, you can place a link to the file on your site. To do so, under the Private Files tab of your content section, find the desired private file. Next to the file name, there will be a grey box that will give you the option to "copy to clipboard".
This will copy the link of the private file to your clipboard. Place, or embed, this link where you would like users to be able to find the download for the file.
When users click this link, they will be redirected to a page that will request them for their HUID or XID login information to gain access to the file.
