Adding News Items via an RSS Feed
You can populate your news feed using a RSS Feed, rather than manually entering news articles. To do this, while in the News section of your site, click on the Add New button, and select the "Import News" option.
On the left side of the page, select "Add new" to add a new RSS feed. Place the url of the RSS feed you want to use into the RSS url box, and add a title of the feed to be viewed by site administrators.
On the left side of the "Import News" page, you will have a list of all the RSS Feeds added to your site. Select the RSS feed you would like to pull from, and select the "Import" button next to each story you would like to populate your field.
When an item is added using the RSS Import feature to your news feed, it will automatically redirect users to the original location of that news article. If you would like users to be able to go into that news item and view its content on your site, go into the edit mode of that particular news item. Scroll down until you reach the redirect setting, and delete the link that appears within the redirect box and save the changes.
To remove a news item from your site that has been imported, either:
- Go into the item on your news page and select delete.
- Go into import news item, select edit next to that news item, then enter it and select delete.
