What is a Widget
A widget is a box of content (for example, an image slideshow) that can be displayed in selected regions, such as the footer or a side bar of a page.
To add a widget, navigate to the "Build" section of your Control Panel and click "Layout".
Once you get onto the page Layout, you will see a row of pre-configured widgets in the widget slider.
These widgets are ready to be clicked and dragged into any region of the page layout.
Once you've dragged them to a spot in the page layout, you can edit them by clicking on the blue gear that appears next to them. You will be able to give the widgets a unique title and description. *A description is a required field which will not appear in the widget. A title however, is not mandatory but if named will be displayed at the top of your widget.
Once you've placed your widget in the desired location, hit save at the bottom of the page.
*You have the option to choose which pages you want to add widgets to by selecting a site section.
Full list of Widgets
You can add new widgets not already pre-configured in the widget slider by clicking on "Add New Widget". This will generate a drop down menu which features all available widgets.
Once you click on any of these you will be prompted to edit them by adding a title, description, and other configuration settings depending on the widget type.
Once you save the form, your widget will appear as the first in the widget slider. The widget can now be dragged dropped into any region of the page layout. Remember to save.
