We will be performing a scheduled, routine update on the Research Computing Environment today, Tuesday, July 22, from 3:00PM to 4:00PM. Today's update will include the following user-facing changes:
o Reimplement ulimits
- This change will now allow R, Stata, and other applications to return warning messages when out of memory, rather than simply terminating the application.
o Held jobs should not count toward resource limits
- Held jobs will not count towards resource limits and will be automatically removed if terminated by an out of memory
error.
o Right-clicking on your job applet and selecting 'Get More Information' will now print the amount of memory currently in use by a running job.
