During todays outage we patched NX to fix a number of problems including:
- a bug that causes new sessions to fail
- a fix for a number of keyboard mapping issues (commas, and semi-colons now work) There remains, however, some odd behavior with the delete key and numeric keypads under certain circumstances. We continue to work with the vendor for a solution.
- Session takeover was also enabled and fixed.
We upgraded a number of applications including R, Stata, Mathematica, and our resource manager HTCondor (the software behind our batch and RCE Powered offerings). We updated the Linux kernel which required a reboot of all our RCE servers. This reboot is the reason all NX sessions and jobs were terminated.
