Listen to "I Was Bleeding for My Sins"

Approximately 1 of 5 cancer patients believe that their illness is punishment or discipline from God for prior sins. A panel from the 2015 Conference on Medicine and Religion discussed this issue by focusing on a medical case entitled "I Was Bleeding For My Sins." Each panelist responded to the case based on their field of practice or study.

We recommend that you begin by reading the case by clicking the PDF at the bottom of this page.  Then choose a disciplinary perspective by clicking the audio file in the right column.
