Changes to the Land

Exchange partners are engaging diverse stakeholders to produce and refine a vision for the future of the New England landscape. The partners are modeling land-use scenarios and analyzing their consequences for ecosystem services, climate change resilience, and biodiversity in New England.

The results are informing state land-use and climate adaptation plans, state zoning reform, and land conservation priorities.

The research is currently being led by the  Scenarios, Services, and Society (S3)RCN, funded by the National Science Foundation.
