Blake's research interests broadly focus around functional morphology using 3D modelling and digital analyses to answer questions about behaviours and lifestyle characteristics in fossil species. Specifically, he is currently interested in applying geometric morphometrics to analyse shape variation in the semicircular canal system and its functional relationships with balance and locomotion.
