Project Theme 4: Religion, Mediators and Health Outcomes
Project Question: What are the causal mechanisms by which religion and spirituality affect health outcomes?
Project Description: Religious community participation has been found to be associated with a wide range of physical and mental health outcomes. This project examines the pathways by which these associations arise – whether by social support, lifestyle and behavior, prayer and mediation, belief and hope, or self-control and self-regulation.
