Management of Letters of Recommendation

•  Notify faculty member of upcoming work, pending letters
•  Edit letters and finalize on official stationary
•  Send or submit letters of recommendation to institution

Course support

•  Open, update, and maintain course isites
•  Upload readings and documents to class isites
•  Edit class documents (syllabus, handouts, etc.)
•  Scan and copy readings for distribution to enrolled students
•  Submit required/recommended book orders to the Harvard Coop
•  Order publishers’ desk copies for classes with qualifying enrollment

Research Support

•  Ordering or scanning documents for research
•  Mailing or Fedexing manuscripts or books

Support for Departmental Business

• Updating faculty information or adding events on departmental website (or working with appropriate departmental personnel to do so)
• Ordering business cards and stationary
• Ordering basic office supplies

Financial Services

Process departmental invoice payments
Process faculty invoice payments
Process faculty reimbursements
Reconcile and monitor spending on faculty funds

IT Services

Technical application & hardware assistance, consulting, and research
Copywriting, graphic design, marketing

Teaching Fellow Services

Submit Teaching Fellow appointments to Faculty Affairs
Obtain necessary documentation from graduate students and submit to Payroll
Work with FAS Payroll to calculate underpayments, overpayments, etc. resultant from changes to TF appointments.
