Network connectivity will be UNAVAILBLE in the Vanderbilt building on Saturday April 2nd from 6AM – 8PM.

Who is affected?

Everyone in Vanderbilt Hall.  This upgrade will require a building-wide network outage, which will impact all Vanderbilt users at the time of the upgrade - Saturday April 2nd from 6AM – 8PM.

How will this impact my work in Vanderbilt?

Computers and devices connected to the network in Vanderbilt Hall will lose all network access during this outage.  This includes both hardwired (LAN) and wireless connections.

What should I do?

Please Do Not Upgrade to Mac OS El Capitan 10.11

Apple released El Capitan, Mac OS 10.11 last month, but it is still not compatible with ExamSoft. 

At this time, HMS Information Technology strongly recommends that HMS/HSDM students not upgrade to El Capitan.

El Capitan is currently not compatible with the ExamSoft software used by HMS/HSDM.  Students should NOT install/upgrade current devices to Mac OS 10.11 and they should not buy new computers with 10.11 pre-installed.
