Michele Pellam

Michele is currently a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, working on an Ed.M. in School Leadership. Michele worked for five years in Boston Public Schools, as a civics and history teacher, as well as a debate coach. While working as a teacher, Michele was part of a cohort of teachers who traveled and worked with the Harvard Center for Middle Eastern Studies promoting Middle Eastern Awareness in the K-12 classroom. Michele co-hosted a webinar for teachers connecting the revolution in Egypt to the American Revolution. Michele has also worked extensively with the Boston Debate League, writing lessons and coaching teachers in Evidence Based Argumentation, which is a formalized debate program to use across curricula. Upon graduation from HGSE, Michele is hoping to work in school leadership in an urban school district, promoting diversity and post secondary success for all students.
