How To Apply

Students:

Undergraduates interested in participating in the Research Scholars Program should check Current Openings to find out more about projects currently in need of researchers.  To apply, send a resume and cover letter detailing relevant qualifications and experience to the contact person listed under the project description.

Undergraduates may also participate in the program more than once, and are encouraged to apply in consecutive terms to continue research programs or embark upon a new project.  Please note that students involved in the Research Scholars Program are paid $13/hr and are expected to spend between three-five hours per week at a minimum, but often more than this, with their faculty sponsor and/or research group.

Students are also required to attend monthly URS luncheons, during which students participating in the program will present on their work and answer questions.  The dates for the Fall 2012 lunches are September 20th, October 18th, November 15th, December 13th.  Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the luncheons.

Faculty:

Faculty wanting to take advantage of the Undergraduate Scholars Program should fill out this survey form.  After the application has been reviewed, an administrative member of the Undergraduate Scholars Program will be in contact.

Also, if a faculty member knows of any exceptional students that would excel in this program, we invite them send in their recommendations using the student nomination form.
