We provide ESET Antivirus to CGIS affiliates free of charge. For Harvard owned machines, ESET is pushed out automatically through Microsoft SCCM and Casper.

For personal machines, please follow the instructions below to download ESET and install it on your computer.

Installing ESET Antivirus 

• Launch a web browser and navigate to the HUIT software downloads page and log in with your Harvard Key username and password.
• Select Antivirus from the software list. Click "I accept" on the license agreement.
• You will be prompted to download a file. Download it, and save it to a familiar location.
• When the download finishes, run the file. The installer will start. Once the installation is complete, ESET should begin to update virus definitions.
