Network researchers Erin Kelly and Phyllis Moen talk about workplace flexibility in their recent blog: Building Flexibility Into The Way We Work. They talk about how the issue of "work-family balance", or lack thereof, does not just belong to one group, and make the case for why employers should think about redesigning work rather than merely "accommodating" flexible schedules. They presented at the "Redesigning, Redefining Work" summit organized by Stanford University's Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research. The summit aims to redesign work to better align with the needs and composition of today's workforce, creating environments where workers and businesses thrive. For project information, click here.
