Tyler VanderWeele works on developing theory and methods for drawing causal inferences in the social and biomedical sciences. His current research focuses on methods for mediation, interaction and spillover effects as well applications to perinatal, psychiatric, genetic and social epidemiology, research in the social sciences, and studies of religion and health.
