MMRpro

Lynch Syndrome, also known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer, is characterized by the inheritance of defects in the  mismatch repair (MMR) genes.

MMRpro is a statistical model, with associated software, for assessing the probability that an individual carries a germline deleterious mutation of the MLH1, MSH2, and MSH6 MMR genes, based on family history of colorectal and endometrial cancer, based on his or her family's history of colorectal and endometrial cancer. The results give useful information about an individual's colon cancer risk before he or she decides to undergo invasive screenings or expensive genetic testing.
