Software Use

Our software is free to use for non-commericial non-clinical research directly using the R package. If you are planning on embedding the software into your own tool (for either research or clinical activities) or if you are pursuing commercial software development that incorporates our software please contact Giovanni Parmigiani or Danielle Braun for information on licensing.

BayesMendel is an R package for Mendelian risk prediction. It includes implementation of the BRCAPRO, MMRpro, PancPRO and MelaPRO models, as well as functionality to adapt BRCAPRO, MMRpro, PancPRO and MelaPRO to specific populations and to develop new Mendelian risk prediction models for other syndromes.

panelpro

PanelPRO is a flexible multi-gene multi-cancer R package for Mendelian risk prediction. Please see eLife publication for details on the PanelPRO R package.

ask2me

ASK2ME is a clinician facing decision support tool for individuals who have undergone multi-gene panel testing, developed in collaboration with Dr. Kevin Hughes at MGH.

ASK2ME provides a calculator to determine risk and the existing management guidelines for most of these genes (with more to follow). We have chosen the best papers we can find on ATM, BARD1, BRCA1, BRCA2, BRIP1, BMPR1A, CDH1, CDK4, CDKN2A, CHEK2, EPCAM, GREM1, MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, MUTYH, NBN, PALB2, PMS2, POLD1, POLE, PTEN, RAD50, RAD51C, RAD51D, SMAD4, STK11, TP53, and converted their general risk estimates to patient specific estimates, and collated the major management guidelines to simplify determining a management strategy.

MyLynch

MyLynch is a patient facing tool developed by the BayesMendel lab to help people with Lynch Syndrome (LS) understand how LS can increase the risk of different cancers and to show them what they can do to lower their risks.
