Harvey Tattelbaum and Judith Clurman

Boston native Rabbi Harvey Tattelbaum and Judith Clurman, choral director and co-director of Harvard's "Leonard Bernstein: Boston to Broadway" Festival, were guests of the "Bernstein's Boston" seminar on February 28, 2006.  During the first part of the seminar, Rabbi Tattelbaum, whose educational trajectory was quite similar to Bernstein's, shares his experiences at Mishkan Tefila and its Hebrew school, Boston Latin School, and Harvard University.  Judith Clurman then discusses Bernstein's eclecticism and the influence of synagogue music and Solomon Braslavsky on his work, leading the class in several songs to illustrate.
