Ricky Leacock and Edward Fox

Ricky Leacock was a student at Harvard University in physics ’43. He was involved with the Harvard Student Union and, with Leonard Bernstein, mounted productions of Peace and The Cradle Will Rock. Mr. Leacock was a combat filmmaker for the U.S. army in World War II and returned to the U.S. to teach film at MIT. Mr. Leacock has filmed Leonard Bernstein conduct on several occasions.

Edward Fox is a graduate of Harvard University in engineering ’41. He became acquainted with Leonard Bernstein through his involvement with the dramatic productions with the Harvard Student Union.

In this interview, conducted during Harvard Bernstein Festival on October 14, 2006, Fox and Leacock discuss their experiences at Harvard University with Leonard Bernstein and working with him on Harvard Student Union productions of Peace and The Cradle Will Rock.
