Hailey Monaco

Hailey is a fourth year Northeastern student, majoring in biochemistry and on the pre-med track. In the Choi lab, she is currently working with the immuno-oncology imaging team, and is investigating the characteristics of indocyanine green fluorescent dye binding with lipoproteins in blood. Since joining the Choi lab, Hailey has participated in cell culture of ovarian cancer cell lines, toxicity studies, microscopic fluorescence imaging of tumor cells, histological assays, and observed in vivo mouse experiments using the FLARE fluorescence imaging system. She has also strengthened her analytical skills by creating charts and graphs to present data in a concise and clear manner. In the future, Hailey hopes to start her own project regarding lipoprotein binding in the Choi lab, and further along, attend medical school upon graduation from Northeastern University.
