How to Apply

The Biophysics Program is one of a group of graduate programs in the Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences that falls under the umbrella of the Harvard Integrated Life Sciences (HILS) affiliated programs.  Applications to the Harvard Biophysics Program are made through GSAS via the HILS application portal, and interested students should visit the HILS website for additional instructions specific to applications being made to one of the HILS federated programs.

All applications are now sent electronically (there are no paper applications) through the GSAS Online Application Portal.

Please note, the admissions process for Fall 2023 entry is now closed. To be considered for entry into the Fall 2024 incoming class of students, applications, and all supporting materials must be received by December 1, 2023.

All application materials: the Online Application Form (along with the application fee payment), Transcripts, Letters of Recommendation, Statement of Purpose, Personal Statement, and TOEFL or IELTS Test Scores (where required) need to be in by 5:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time on this date.  Late applications will not be considered.  Please see the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Admissions page for additional information.
