Hanchen Yu

Hanchen Yu is a postdoctoral fellow in the Geographical Analysis Center of Harvard University. He received a Ph.D. in regional economics from the School of Government, Peking University. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at Arizona State University. His research interests are spatial data analysis and spatial econometrics. He is one of the authors of the new version of the geographically weighted regression analysis software MGWR. He proposed the statistical inference of multi-scale geographic weighted regression. He is one of the authors of the domestic textbook "Spatial Econometrics (Second Edition)" and "Spatial Econometrics Analysis Software: GeoDa, GeoDaSpace and PySAL Manual". He has published 19 papers in Geographical Analysis, International Journal of Geographical Information Science and other journals. He has won the Wiley top downloaded paper 2018-2019 paper award. He is also a reviewer of 10+ SCI/SSCI/CSSCI journals including Geographical Analysis, Scientific Reports. He has lectured on spatial econometrics at Peking University and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences many times.
