Tao joined the CGA as a post-doctoral fellow in 2019. Before that, he was a post-doctor researcher at Kent State University since 2016. He received Ph.D. and B.S in GIS from Wuhan University. His research interests are spatial analysis, urban behavior analysis, and innovation studies. He has published papers in Applied Geography, ISPRS IJGI, Multimedia Tools and Applications, etc. Tao is also proficient in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, Matlab, HTML, and JavaScript. He has extensive experience in web-based platform development and familiar with various state-of-the-art front and back end technologies, such as Angular, Vert.x, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
