David Eaves is a public policy entrepreneur and expert in information technology and government.
In 2009, as an adviser to the Office of the Mayor of Vancouver, David proposed and helped draft the Open Motion which created one of the first open data portals in Canada and the world. He subsequently advised the Canadian government on its open data strategy where his parliamentary committee testimony laid out the core policy structure that has guided multiple governments approach to the issue. He has gone on to work with numerous local, state, and national governments advising on technology and policy issues, including sitting on Ontario's Open Government Engagement Team in 2014–2015.
In addition to working with government officials, David served as the first Director of Education for Code for America — training each cohort of fellows for their work with cities. David has also worked with 18F and the Presidential Innovation Fellows at the White House providing training and support. more about David

Vanessa Rhinesmith is deeply committed to leveraging her knack for communication, project management and community engagement to foster meaningful social change.
Prior to Harvard, Vanessa was the Program Manager for the Ford-Mozilla Open Web Fellows program a collaboration between the Ford Foundation and the Mozilla Foundation – is a ten month fellowship program that brings together technology talent and civil society organizations from around the world to advance, protect, and enable the open internet. Vanessa supported activist-technologists on the front lines of the open internet movement within civil society organizations from around the globe.
Vanessa leverages a unique set of business, digital, and programmatic acumen that comes from work within various industry and nonprofit sectors. She has developed community engagement strategies to identify and apply technology trends, while leveraging project management tools to enhance process and catalyze new community relationships. Vanessa received her MBA from Simmons School of Management (MA) and BA in Marketing from Fairfield University (CT). more about Vanessa
Communications and Project Coordinator, digital HKS
Eva Weber is a graduate of Simmons College where she received her BA in journalism. While attending Simmons College, Eva was the captain of the college rowing team, editor-in-chief of the college newspaper The Simmons Voice, and co-host of the weekly internet-radio show Off-Point Radio. Through her passion for writing, Eva hopes to amplify the work of digital HKS as well as make topics like the future of technology more accessible to a variety of audiences. In her spare time, Eva can be found walking around her neighborhood listening to podcasts like My Brother My Brother and Me or 2 Dope Queens. She also spends her time trying to catch up on all the sleep she didn't get in college.
