Lauren is a Master's student of psychology through Harvard Extension school. She is interested in group cooperation with a focus on the motivations behind investment behaviors of disrespected or low status group members. Her research focuses on this in the context of a fundamental need to belong. Specifically, she seeks to examine whether the need to belong for low status group members has a transformative effect on whether the motivations behind their engagement in group serving behaviors are group-focused or self-focused.
