Miriam ('Mira') Lindner
I am interested in the evolutionary psychology of intergroup aggression. Specifically, I study microaggressions, hate crime, and terrorist violence in light of our evolved cognitive architecture for intergroup bargaining. My major research focus lies on the study of the roles of insults and anger in the context of violent extremism. This line of research expands and builds on my Ph.D. dissertation, which received the 2019 Best Dissertation Award from the International Society for Political Psychology. You can read a summary of my dissertation here.
