A travel team of six students and two professional mentors returned in late January from a successful implementation trip in the Dominican Republic! The community, EWB team, and a contracted local drill team collaborated to install a 160 ft. well with a submersible pump with automated electrical system for storage tank filling. They also laid several hundred feet of distribution piping. All initial tests indicate that the water is clean, and the well capacity is more than sufficient to sustain the community. This trip was an incredible success for all involved, and we're looking forward to returning to continue the piping work, and perform monitoring assessments. Photo album to come soon.
