Julia Brau, BA
Julia earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in May 2021 where she studied the intersection of anticipated stress and sustained attention with Dr. Vincent Corbo. She joined the CASSL in August 2021 after interning with Dr. Fortenbaugh during her time as an undergraduate student. Her research interests primarily consist of the intersection between emotional arousal and various domains of cognition (attention, memory, etc.) and how psychiatric disorders may mediate this relationship. She is excited to use computational approaches to study sensory and cognitive functioning in a veteran population. In the future, she hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in cognitive psychology to study the visual and cognitively biasing effects of arousal and emotional stimuli.
