Drs. Fonda and Fortenbaugh currently co-direct a two semester biostatistics course as a free resource to researchers of all levels at the VABHS. The fall semester, Basic Biostatistics & Research Methods course, is a 14-week lecture/laboratory course that covers basic hypothesis testing approaches. The spring semester, Advanced Statistics Lecture Series offers lectures on a variety of topics, led by researchers who use these methods in their own research programs. The goal of these lectures is to provide an accessible overview of these techinques, ways they can be utilized and limitations, along with examples. Syllabi from previous semesters are available below.
