International summer exchange program for students from the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Students spend one month at each university developing a smart device platform to control the motion of a quadrotor helicopter, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
This is an integrated project that combines knowledge in sensing, communication, networking, software programming, and control. Expected deliverables include but are not limited to:
- a manual and automatic UAV flight demonstration
- a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or application that displays the UAVs in a 3-d space
- a trajectory generation and tracking algorithm for the UAV based on the touch motion on the GUI
