Dr. Nikhit D’Sa is a developmental psychologist with experience as a technical advisor and applied researcher on education and child protection programs in development and humanitarian contexts. He has expertise in supporting field teams in the development of evaluation plans for their research, designing appropriate measures and surveys, conducting formative qualitative research, translating mixed methods findings for different audiences, and working with practitioners to make evidence-based changes to interventions. Reid’s research focuses on how college students understand the purpose of their education. Situated in the context of increased vocationalism in higher education, Reid’s work aims to inform how colleges can best convey their civic and liberal arts missions to diverse student bodies. As a Research Assistant at Project Zero, he uses mixed methods to study the perspectives of multiple stakeholders across college campuses and he has also conducted historical research on how “experimental colleges” in the 1950’s and 1960’s sought to reshape liberal arts education.

Liu Jiang is a third-year doctoral candidate concentrating in Culture, Institutions, and Society at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research focuses on practices of peer governance and rituals of peer culture in Chinese classrooms.
