Opportunities for Students

Our program offers several opportunities for URiM students to visit our hospitals and meet our residents and faculty.  

 

Opportunities for Medical students:

 

Harvard Medical school Visiting Clerkship Program
Provides support for fourth-year and qualified third-year medical students from groups underrepresented in medicine for a clinical rotation at Harvard Medical School


Harvard Medical School Visiting Research Internship Program
Eight-week mentored, summer research program designed to enrich medical students' interest in research and health-related careers, particularly clinical/translational research careers


AAD diversity mentorship program
Offers hands-on exposure to students who are interested in learning more about the specialty of dermatology through a one-on-one mentorship experience with a dermatologist of the student's choice.  Several of our faculty members have served in this capacity.


Dermatology Foundation Diversity Research Supplement Award 
Support under-represented minority medical student in depth participation in existing project with a Dermatology Foundation Award Recipient Faculty.  Several of our faculty members have been fortunately to receive these Dermatology Foundation Awards and are eligible for this program.


Biomedical Sciences Careers Program 
Biannual conference mentoring students interested in biomedical sciences from high school to graduate level
