Date:

Location:

Room 111

Some of the most valuable training and professional development occurs while you work; join us to hear ways colleagues have optimized their on the job experiences.

Abstract

To many of us, "professional learning" or "staff development" brings to mind conferences, association meetings, or skill-based classes. There are other ways to develop one’s career, however. In this session, a panel of colleagues will discuss ways of learning on the job, from doing an 80/20 to online classes to cross-training. In, addition mentors from the HUIT MOR mentoring program will speak about their experiences. Join us to hear ways library employees have optimized their on-the-job experiences and leave with a list of resources and ideas to develop and learn on campus.
