Harvard Reviews in the Humanities is an annual, peer-reviewed journal based out of Harvard University that publishes reviews, written by specialists in the field, of the latest scholarly books on the full range of the humanities. Our focus areas are anthropology, art history, history, literary and religious studies, but we are open to consider any field of humanist inquiry. Most reviews are 1000-1500 words long, but occasionally we also publish longer literature-review pieces. We are especially interested in works that focus on regions outside North America and Europe, and in scholarly books written in languages other than English. If you are a specialist willing to publish a review in a book in your field, or an author/publisher willing to have your book reviews, please do get in touch!
