Kimberly Lewis is an M. Ed candidate in Human Development and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a certified English Language Arts and Reading, English as a Second Language, and Pilates teacher with 15 years of experience working in co-educational, single-sex, and academically diverse schools around the nation and the world. Kimberly's work in challenging settings led her to employ pedagogical practices and research-backed strategies in the classroom. She is outspoken in expressing the needs of students of color and has made it her mission to push educational institutions to acknowledge, respect, and honor students of color. She believes that practical, research-based approaches to equity and inclusion work can and will lead to transformational change.
