Tia (she/her/hers) is currently pursuing an Ed.M. in Education Leadership, Organizations and Entrepreneurship at Harvard University. She was born and raised in the U.K and has lived in Boston, MA since 2014. Tia has 13+ years of professional work experience in both the corporate and non-profit sector and has spent most of her career working in the Higher Education space. Tia used to work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and now works as a Senior Program Coordinator and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Liaison at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. As a Higher Ed administrator, Tia has predominantly played a role in supporting faculty, students, and postdoctoral research fellows and is currently transitioning into a new role as Assistant Director of HR at the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences where she will be responsible for human resource management, administration, and the implementation of EDIB initiatives. Over the years she has also worked on several consulting projects and has become increasingly passionate about well-being in the workplace, organizational culture transformation, gender equity, women’s empowerment, driving sustainable behavior change in the EDIB space and building equity-based mindsets within organizations. As she embarks on her journey as an Equity & Inclusion Fellow, she hopes to expand her individual capacity for fostering structural transformation. She also hopes to help organizations shift their practices to be more culturally responsive and will actively engage in helping facilitate dialogue across differences within Harvard University and other organizations.
