Ann founded a hospitality group in Norway that has partnered, funded, and mentored women entrepreneurs and chefs from around the world. Launching 18 restaurants and venues (many during COVID) brought hard learnings, not least of all — the need to address challenges immigrants face to do with language, status, and belonging. For six years, Ann has also taught Negotiations and Entrepreneurship courses at BI Norwegian Business School. She joins the Fellowship to further her practice in classrooms as sites of impact and transformation. She’s interested in the epistemology of entrepreneurship — in undoing the ghosts of the past; if we can find new ways to teach entrepreneurship that equip amidst social injustice — and more importantly, empower students to innovate new futures.
